This far by grace!!
Psalm 124:1-5
If it had not been for the Lord on our side, where would we be? (Paraphrased)

Grace can be defined as the unmerited favor of God. “This far by grace” Pre-supposes that you have been through the mill ( challenges, obstacles, trials and temptations) but at every point in time God has sustained you and helped you to overcome and be victorious.

The passage above says without the grace of God upon our lives we could have been destroyed. We are alive and strong today because of the grace of God.

Scripture also says in Ephesians 2:8 that

For by grace are we saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Meaning, the Christian faith is based on grace. We do not deserve to be saved but the grace of God brought salvation to us.

2 Corinthians 12:9
My grace is sufficient for you for my power is perfected in your weakness….

This verse from the new testament re-emphasizes the fact that God’s grace is enough to meet all our needs.

We are all who we are today by the grace of God. We have come this far by grace and we can go further by the grace of God if we keep trusting Him.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Believe without any doubt that you can achieve all things by the grace of God.
