The Lord is our strength
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble
There are times when we feel exhausted from the monotony and stress of our daily activities. In times like this we have to turn to the Lord in prayer.
The verse above says the Lord is our refuge and strength, meaning that the Lord does not only give us strength but He is also our refuge or shield from life’s challenges.
Isaiah 40:31 says
They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint.
If we want to excel in a world where there are so many challenges and temptations, we have to learn to wait on the Lord by praying and studying the word daily. Sometimes we have to fast as well. Check Isaiah 58 for the benefits of fasting.
Romans 15:5
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ
We also have to learn to be patient and seek consolation or comfort from the Lord only.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Read the bible and pray everyday
2. Set personal times for fasting e.g. once a week or once every two weeks etc whichever will suit you best based on the state of your health and job responsibilities.
Prayer
Let this song be your prayer
The Lord is my strength and my song
He has become my salvation
The Lord is my strength and my song
Amen
