The Lord bless thee and keep thee.
“The Lord bless thee and keep thee” in theology is normally referred to as the ” Priestly Blessing” or ” Aaronic blessing”. It is the blessing pronounced by most ministers on their congregation after Sunday Service.
It is done with the intention of committing the congregation into God’s care throughout the week till they meet again the following Sunday.
Since most of us received this blessing or a similar one in church, let’s continue to hold onto it throughout the week.
Scripture says in Psalm 136:1 that
God is good and His mercy endures forever.
Always bear in mind that the goodness and mercy of God will sustain you.
Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
This verse from the new testament talks about the pure in heart. The pure in heart are those who want nothing more than to be with God.
Their great desire to be with God, enables them to have an encounter with God ( see God).
In short, when the Lord blesses and keeps you, you would always want to be with Him and this helps you enjoy a close relationship with God.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Spend time each day, reading the word, praying and singing praises to God.
2 This will enable you dwell constantly in the Lord’s presence.
