The joy of the Lord is your strength
Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto then for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto the Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

The joy of the Lord could be defined as an inner satisfaction or well-being that can move you to continue fulfilling your ministry even if there is chaos all around you.

The Prophet Nehemiah urged the people in his time to rejoice even though all was not well around them.

Pray for the joy of the Lord each day to enable you continue to fulfill your mission of winning souls for the kingdom of God.

Acts 2:28
You have shown me the way of life, and you will fill me with the joy of your presence

The verse above says God will fill you with the joy of His presence. Learn to create the atmosphere of the Lord’s presence around you by my being in the praise and worship mode always.

Remember, when our praises begin, His glory comes down. You do not have to be singing out loud all day, you have to learn at school or work in the office. Do it quietly so you do not disturb anyone.
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Cultivate the habit of singing one or two praise and worship songs during your quiet time in the morning.
2. Do the same at night just before you say your bedtime prayers.

Faithful God, may your name be praised at all times by all men. Give me joy in my heart and keep me praising. Amen.
