The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are very few
Psalm 68:11
The Lord gave the word; great was the company of them that pursued it

God has given us His word, the Bible which has all the commands and instructions we need to live a life that is pleasing in His sight

One of the important commands is the “Great Commission” in Matthew 28:19-20 which commands all Christians
To go to all nations and make disciples ( win souls and teach them how to serve God)

When you look at the millions in Asia dedicated to Buddhism and Hinduism, the millions in Africa dedicated to Islam and African traditional religion and the millions in the United States, Europe and Australia who are atheists, there is a lot of work to be done

A lot of work because all the people described above have served these deities for several years with their own testimonies.

Christiandom needs people who have been tried and tested in their faith and know their God well enough to not only present the gospel but add their personal encounters with God (like that of the Apostle Paul in Acts 9, Peter and John at the “beautiful gate” in Acts 3:1-11) It does not necessarily have to be specular like that of Paul or Peter and John but it should be something that will prove, without doubt that God exists (Hebrews 11:6)

Luke 10:2
Therefore said He unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into his harvest

There are few Christians with personal encounters with God, we need to pray for God to prepare more people to reap the harvest of souls in these end times.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Pray for a personal encounter with God that will make you an effective witness or ambassador. The Apostle Paul said:
That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection (Philippians 3:10)
