Shepherd of our souls!!
Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd
I shall not want
He leadeth me beside the still waters He restoreth my soul…..

“Shepherd of my soul” means keeper of my never “dying self”.

This definition was taken from the hymn

A charge to keep I have
A God to glorify
A never dying soul
To save
And fit it for the sky

Our souls will eventually be with God in heaven. That is why we have to make sure we are saved and well prepared for heaven ( A never dying soul to save and fit it for the sky)

Scripture also says in Proverbs 3:5-6 that

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him
And He shall direct your path

When you trust in the Lord with all your heart and rely on Him for guidance and protection
Then the Lord is your shepherd

2 Corinthians 12:9

……My grace is sufficient for you ( paraphrased)

This verse from the new testament assures us that when you trust in the Lord with all your heart

His grace or unmerited favor is enough to see you through your life and ministry as an ambassador of Christ
