Revive us again
Psalm 119:149
Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness, Oh Lord, quicken (revive) me according to thy judgment.

To revive means to bring back to life or consciousness. In our world today, even the elect, Christians are indulging in things contrary to the word of God.

For example, there are Christians who think there is nothing wrong with drinking alcohol once in a while. Or there is nothing wrong with taking money out of your tithe if you will replace it later. Others think you can fornicate or commit adultery and ask for forgiveness etc

Several things that were unacceptable in Christiandom about 10-15 years ago seem to be normal now.

We need to ask God to revive us from dead works and renew our minds so that we can serve Him and live as we ought to.

Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of Lord.

We also need to show remorse for our sins and turn away from sin as well (repent). We should have a great desire to do the will of God at all times.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Pray and ask God to help you detect your sins and cleanse you.
2. Pray and determine in your heart to stay away from sin.

Prayer
Let this be your prayer
Create in me a clean heart Oh God
And renew a right spirit within me
Cast me not away from your presence Oh God
And take not thy Holy Spirit from me
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation
And renew a right spirit within me. Amen.
