Rejoice in the Lord!!
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Though the fig tree fails to blosom……..I will rejoice in thee my Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

To rejoice in the Lord is to take delight in God and not your circumstances. It implies that you take delight in the Lord in good as well as bad times.

In the passage above, the Prophet Habakkuk says though his circumstances are very gloomy, everything he could depend on had been lost, he will take delight in the Lord.

Scripture says in Nehemiah 8:10 that
…the joy of the Lord is our strength

Another verse of scripture Proverbs 17:22 says

A merry heart does good like medicine but a broken spirit dries the bones

The two verses quoted above indicate that rejoicing in the Lord or delighting in the Lord is very important because:
– It strengthens us and gives us courage to face whatever lies ahead of us
-Without joy you slowly put yourself to death because your soul is malnourished.

Start each day with songs of praises and thanksgiving no matter your circumstances.

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord, again I say rejoice let all men know your forbearance.

This verse from the new testament encourages us to rejoice in the Lord. The phrase rejoice in the Lord is stated twice in the same sentence.

Meaning, rejoicing in the Lord is very important no matter your circumstances.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Cultivate the habit of praising God always, loudly when you are on your own, and under tone when your location cannot allow you to sing out loud.
