REFLECTIONS 🙄

To err is human
Psalm 103: 14
He knows our frame , He is mindful that we are dust.

The term “To err is human” is used appropriately as well as inappropriately.

The biblical meaning is given in the verse above. We are made of dust which can easily be destroyed. But the Holy Spirit who comes to live in us after salvation makes us more than conquerors ( Romans 8:37)

Inappropriate use of the term refers to the fact that we are weak as humans and sin can easily overcome us.

Philippians 4: 13 says

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you ( paraphrased)

According, to the verse above sin cannot easily have dominion over you as a child of God, whilst you live by the strength or help of the Holy Spirit.

As a student, worker and ambassador of Christ sin cannot have dominion over you whilst you study the word and obey what it says. Psalm 119: 10 says

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against you ( paraphrased)

Hiding the word of God in your heart means studying the word, meditating on it and building your life around it
God be with you
