Prepare for His coming
Joel 2:31-32
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered….

The bible specifically says that Jesus will come back again. In the new testament, Acts 1:11 says

This same Jesus who was taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way…..

The passage from Joel 2:31-32 is one of the verses in the old testament that tells us He will back back even before He was born.

There are several interpretations of how Jesus will come back. The bible talks about signs of the end time, some of which the passage from Joel 2 gives. Terrible things will happen.

However, the good news is that those who call on the name of the Lord ( those who repent and accept the gift of salvation) will be delivered.

Fulfill your mission as an ambassador of Christ and live a life that glorifies God. In other words obey all God’s commands given in the bible:
– Pray without ceasing ( 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
– Study the word and obey it ( Joshua 1:8)
– Worship God without ceasing( Psalm 34:1)
– win souls ( Matthew 28:19-20)
– Do good works ( Matthew 5:16)
– Put on the armour of God ( Ephesians 6:10-18)
– Live right ( Matthew 6:33)
These are some of the things you can do to prepare for His coming.

Christians need not fear the effects of the terrible signs of the end time. The Lord will take care of His own.

Revelations 22:12
Behold I come quickly and my reward is with me to give unto every man….

This verse from the new testament says that the coming of the Lord will take us by surprise ( it will come quickly). Therefore, we need to be ready at all times.

The Lord will come with rewards for faithful ambassadors of Christ. Whatever, you do for the Lord, do it excellently in order to receive your reward.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Trust in God and do the right at all times.
