Make yourself available for the Master’s use
Psalm 100:3
Know ye that the Lord He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Making yourself available for the Master’s use or God’s use is to surrender your will and desire to God, and ask Him to use you as He desires
An example of this can be found in the book of Isaiah 6:8, it says
And I heard the voice of the Lord
say, whom shall I send and who will go?
Then I answered, Here I am Lord send me.( Paraphrased)
This should be every Christian’s attitude towards the service of God. We should always be ready and willing to serve
God created us, we belong to Him and we owe our existence to Him, so we should be willing to do what He wants as to do as Psalm 100:3 says.
Luke 9:23
And He said to them all, If any man will come after me, let Him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Like the verse above says, we should wake up each morning, surrendering our will to God. We should be ready to do what He desires first before considering ours.
For example, no matter how tight your schedule is at school or work, begin each by doing your quiet time first. You should have a policy of:
No quiet time, no food and
No quiet time, no work
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1.Begin each day with a quiet time or personal time of fellowship with God
2. You can buy a devotional book or you can find some online
3. End your time with a prayer asking God to use you as He wills
It that does not necessarily mean God will use you only for soul winning:
– Someone may be having a bad day and needs just a smile from you or a word of encouragement.
-Another person might need money to buy food or medicine
– Others might need help with their school work or schedule at work.
– An old man or woman might need a seat in a bus or help with carrying a load etc.
Prayer
Lord, use me each day as you will
Amen.
