Love your neighbor as yourself
Genesis 4:9
…Am I my brother’s keeper?

In order to love your neighbor unconditionally you must love yourself. Some people have very low self image, they think they do not deserve to be loved and they cannot love others.

God does not create junk. The bible says in Genesis 1:27 that we are created in God’s image, therefore we are all masterpieces of His image.

In the verse above, God wanted to know Abel’s whereabout from his brother Cain. Meaning, God expects us to be our brother’s keeper not only biological relations but all you deal with.

Scripture says in Galatians 6:2 that:
We should bear one another’s burdens which is another way of saying love your neighbor or be your brother’s keeper.

Matthew 22:39
The second, is to love your neighbor as yourself

This verse from the new testament repeats the message in Galatians 6:2 and Genesis 4:9.

Loving our neighbor is very important to God as Jesus said it was the second greatest commandment.

First love God fully and completely with all you are and have then love your neighbor as yourself
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Love yourself then you can love others

Meditate on the words of this song

Love is always patient and kind
Love is never jealous or boastful
Love is never arrogant or rude
Not insisting on its own

So faith, hope and love abide
But the greatest of all this is love
