Let God be true
Psalm 91:1
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. And I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in Him will I trust

“Let God be true” means let God be God. Let humanity recognize His will and Sovereignty.

In the verse above, the Psalmist is trying to project the fact that because God is Sovereign, those who rely on Him find refuge for their souls and are safe.

The bible says in Jeremiah 32:27 that
Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?

Scripture also says in Psalm 24:1-2 that
The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof….

Genesis 1:1 says
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

From the verses quoted above, the Sovereignty of God is confirmed:
– He has all power and can do all things.
– The world or earth belongs to Him because He created it all.

We need to surrender our will and lives to Him and allow Him to direct us in all we do. The word of the God , the bible, gives us God’s directions and commandments.

Ephesians 3:20
Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think….

This verse from the new testament also confirms God’s superiority. He can do much much more than we can ever ask or think.

Seek to please God in all you do and testify of His goodness to as many people as you can.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

Let this song be your confession and prayer

God never fails

He gives me victory
For God, never fails
Just keep the faith and never cease to pray
Just walk upright, morning, noon, day and night
He will be there
He will be there
There’s no need to worry
For God never fails
