Keep your faith, hope and trust in God [September 23, 2022]
Keep your faith, hope and trust in God
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him
And He shall direct your paths
Faith, hope and trust are three words that are closely related. They are all linked to having confidence in God to give you results you are waiting and expecting.
Psalm 27:13-14 says
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage; and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say on the Lord.
Isaiah 40:31 says
They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run, and not grow weary: they shall walk and not faint.
The three passages quoted above summarize what faith, hope and trust in God involve.
Hebrews 9:35
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward
This verse from the new testament encourages us not to throw away our confidence in God for it yields great rewards.
