Keep your eyes on the Lord [November 1, 2021]
Keep your eyes on the Lord
Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
As humans it is easy to worry about the success of future events. For instance, when I look at my finances how can I educate my children to the highest level? Or, looking at the economic situation, is it possible to find a good job?
In the verse above, the Prophet Isaiah says there is no need to worry, instead we should focus on the Lord, and trust Him to make a way where there is no way.
There are several examples of how God made a way where there was no way. He blessed the wombs of barren women like Sarah, Rachel, Hannah and Elizabeth to produce children. He was able to make the virgin Mary conceive and bear the Messiah.
He provided water, quails and manna for the Israelites in the desert. He multiplied a little boy’s lunch of two pieces of fish and five loaves of bread to feed five thousand people (Matthew 14:13-21) etc.
God can do all things, so put your trust in Him, rest from your worries and He will make a way.
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and perfector of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God
Keep your focus on the Lord, He initiates and completes all assignments. He endured the sufferings and shame of the cross just to make you victorious.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7)
Prayer
Think about the words of this song
He is the Lord
Is anything too hard for Him?
He is the Lord
He has said it, and surely He will do
Hold on to your faith
Your confession all the days of your life
And you will see the hand of Lord in your life.
Amen
