Keep me shinning, Lord!!!
Psalm 119:133
Order my steps in your word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

“Keep me shinning” simply means, live in such a way that the light of Christ in you is reflected for others to see and give glory to God. How do you do this?

The verse above says ask God to order or direct your steps ( life). To lead you away from sin and help you obey His commands.

Scripture also ays in Isaiah 60:1-2 that

Arise, shine for thy light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you……but the Lord rises upon and His glory appears on you.

Meaning, God has made you an instrument of peace.
This is one way that you can let your light shine. Being an instrument of God’s Peace. Where there is pain you bring healing. Where there is sadness you bring joy etc through your actions.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine among men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven

This verse from the new testament also encourages us to let our light shine through good works. This is another way you can make your light shine

Good works include

– Helping the poor and needy.

– Sharing your possessions with others who do not have what you have

– Bringing the message of salvation to the oppressed to give them deliverance etc.
