Jesus now more than ever!!
Psalm 27:13
I would have fainted if I had not believed to see the goodness of the Lord…..

In the verse above, the Psalmist is expressing his frustration. He might have prayed, fasted and claimed victory through the word of God.

But his situation probably remained the same. He needed Jesus more than ever.

The statement ” Jesus now more than ever” is an indication that humans have come to “the end of their road”

We have used all our intelligence, strength and resources but there is still so much of conflict in the world. People are dying of hunger, thirst and all sorts of strange diseases like COVID.

Indeed, we need Jesus now more than ever.

Scripture says in Matthew 11: 28-30 that

Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;, for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls

Meaning, if you are tired and frustrated, accept my gift of salvation and live according to my word ( Take my yoke upon you and learn of me) and I will give you victory over your circumstances ( and you will find rest unto your soul)

Mark 4:38

….”Carest not that we perish?”

This verse from the new testament is another situation of frustration and desperation.

Jesus and his disciples were travelling on the sea and there was a storm.

The boat was moving up and down tossed by the waves. Water was getting into the boat and the disciplines were shouting instructions at each other on how to save the situation

But Jesus was fast asleep in all this confusion. Jesus or Master they shouted don’t you care that we are drowning ( Carest not that we perish? )

When we accept the gift of salvation and become part of the family of God we need to learn to trust God. He knows when and how to save the situation

If it seems He is asleep and we are not getting the answers we need, let’s press on. He is all we need now more than ever.

He will move just in time to save the situation
God be with you.

1. Trust in God and do what is right
