Jesus is our mediator
Isaiah 44:6
This saith the Lord the King of Israel, and His redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me, there is no God

A mediator is someone who makes people in conflict come to an agreement and brings peace.

There is a song that says that whenever God is displeased with us, Jesus pleads:
He says look at the cross
The blood that I shared
For the remission of sin for man
I died for them all
Give them another chance
This is the way Jesus pleads for us.

The words of the song describes all that a mediator does. Jesus is constantly pleading for us

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

The verse above says there is only one God and one mediator between God and man. That is our Lord Jesus Christ.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. The fact that we have Jesus pleading for us constantly is not a license for disobedience. The bible says we should not frustrate the grace of God upon our lives.(Romans 6:2)
2. Whenever you realize you have sinned or disobeyed God. Repent (feel sorry for your sin and ask for forgiveness), then determine in your heart that you will not repeat that sin
3. Pray for grace and strength to resist temptation and sin

Prayer
Faithful God, thank you that your mercy endures forever. Help me to stay away from sin. Amen.
