It is a great thing to serve the Lord!!!
Psalm 27:4
One thing have I asked of the Lord and that will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord forever to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple

” It is a great thing to serve the Lord” means it is a supreme
privilege to do the work of God.

The Psalmist in the verse above says his utmost desire is to serve the Lord all the days of his life ( dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life)

Scripture also says in Psalm 23:6 that

Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever

The two verses from the Psalms are almost identical. Both talk about serving in the house of the Lord forever. This implies that serving the the Lord is a supreme privilege with benefits attached

Hebrews 11:6
Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him

This verse from the new testament confirms that God rewards our faith and trust in Him

Accept the gift of salvation today ( Romans 10:9-10) and enjoy the benefits of serving a faithful God
