If the Son shall set you free!!
Isaiah 54:14
In righteousness shalt thou be established:thou shalt be far……….for it shall not come near thee
The phrase “If the Son shall set you free” could be translated as if Jesus liberates or exempts you from liability or oppression then you are truly liberated or exempted.
As the verse above says, in the Lord, we shall be established in righteousness and this will keep us free from liability or oppression.
Scripture also says in Zephaniah 3:17 that
The Lord thy God is with you, He is mighty to save
Meaning, God can liberate or set us free from anything that oppresses us or weighs us down.
Another verse Hebrews 12:1 says
Since we are encompassed about with a great cloud of witnesses let us lay aside any sin or weight…….
Our lives as Christians should be a good testimony that would draw other people to Christ.
Therefore it is important to constantly come before God and ask for grace and mercy to help us put away all sin and weights that prevent us from being what God wants us to be.
John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall set you free, you shall be free indeed.
This verse from the new testament says if the Son, Jesus shall set you free you shall be free indeed.
Meaning, there is a possibility of other deities setting us free from oppression but then you might not be really free.
Other gods will set you free from one form of oppression and possibly put you under a higher form of oppression
If you truly want to be free, surrender your life to Jesus.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Seek freedom from no where else but God.
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this song
If the Son shall set you free
You shall be free indeed
If the Son shall set you free
You shall be free indeed
You shall be free
You shall be free, indeed
Come to Jesus
He will set you free
Come to Jesus
He will protect you
Come to Jesus
Now.
Amen
