I have become all things!!
Esther 4 : 16
…… I and my female servants will also fast in the same way. After that, I will go to the king even if it is against the law. If I perish, I perish.
The verse above is an excerpt from the story of how Queen Esther helped save the Jews from the wicked plan of Haman.
In those days, if you go to see the King without him asking for you, it is a crime punishable by death. Esther had to see the king without his consent because Haman’s plan will be implemented soon and all the Jews will be killed.
She had to take the risk but before doing so He prayed for favor from God. God granted her favor and the Jews were saved.
In our line of duty as ambassadors of Christ we might also have to take risks. A man of God told the story of how he had to witness to lady who was known to lead an immoral life. He had to be friends with her and visit her several times before she got saved.
He put his reputation as a man of God at stake and was criticized several times. But the word of God says our Lord wants all men to be saved. (1 Timothy 2:3-4)
All means all, including murderers, armed robbers, fornicators etc. But like Esther did, pray for favor before you take the risk.
1 Corinthians 9:23
To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some
This verse from the new testament also emphasizes the fact that we might have to take risks as ambassadors of Christ.
Ask for favor and grace before you take the step of faith.
