Humble yourselves
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The bible defines humble as having a moderate or low estimate of one’s importance. When the bible says we should humble ourselves, I believe it means we should recognize our weaknesses and sinful nature, repent and ask God to forgive our sins.

James 4:10
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.

According to the verse above if we recognize our weaknesses and sinful nature and ask God to forgive us,.He will forgive us and restore His relationship with us as sons and heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Examine yourself, consider the sins you have committed (2 Corinthians 13:5),and repent (feel sorry for the sins you have committed and determine not to repeat them by God’s Grace) and ask God for forgiveness.
2. Turn away from all your wicked ways.

Father in heaven, we love and adore you for your goodness and mercy. Help me to live to please you at all times. Amen.
