Humble beginnings

Micah 5:2
But you O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, the least among the clans of Judah. I believe God wanted to show us that:
– The place or circumstances of your birth does not determine your future. Do not despise humble beginnings
– Jesus came to save everyone. The rich and the poor.

Luke 2:7
And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger because there was no place in the inn.

According to the verse above, there was also no room in the inn. Jesus had to be born in a stable. Even the Messiah and saviour of the world had very humble beginnings. The important thing is to pray for God’s plan for your life to be fulfilled. God has good plans for us all (Jeremiah 29:11).

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Do not be discouraged by your circumstances. With God all things are possible.
2. Commit every step you take in life into God’s hands. Trust Him to guide and direct you.
3. Pray that His plan for your life will be fulfilled

Prayer
God of all gods and Lord of all lords. I praise and adore your holy name. Thank you for sacrificing your life to save us all. Let your will be done in my life. Amen.
