His dwelling place
Psalm 8:4
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visiteth him
In the verse above the Psalmist is amazed that God has His Spirit dwelling in us.
This is confirmed by Revelations 3:20 which says God comes to live us when we accept the gift of salvation.
God lives in us, meaning we are His dwelling place. It is therefore important that we do not defile our bodies.
1 Corinthians 3:17 the Apostle Paul warns us about the danger of defiling our bodies.
1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
This verse from the new testament reminds us once again that God lives in us.
Since our body is the temple of God, we are to keep our bodies clean and free from sins that defile the body like fornication.
Pray for grace and strength to keep yourselves clean.
