God our help in ages past and hope for years to come!!!
Isaiah 26:3-4
He will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is fixed on Him

The topic for the devotion, “God our help in ages past and hope for years to come” means or gives us the firm assurance that the God who has brought us safely this far will lead us till the end of time.

It also implies that , God has already done a lot in our lives and that should confirm to us that He can do it again if He has to.

Scripture says in Psalm 96:5 that

All the gods of the other nations are idols but our God made the heavens…

This truth should encourage us to serve God faithfully and trust Him for all our needs.

John 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.

This verse from the new testament assures us that we need not worry or fret, all we need to do is believe or trust in the Lord and all will be well.

There is a hymn that says

Through the love of God our Savior all will be well
Free and changeless is His favor all all is well
On our Father’s Love relying
Jesus every need supplying
Wholly through the Spirit’s guiding
All must be well
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Trust in God at all times

Prayer
Let this hymn be your prayer and confession

Oh God our help in ages past
Our hope for years to come
Our shelter from the stormy blast
And our eternal hope
