God is our Father
Psalm 68:5
Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in His Holy habitation

A father is the head of the home. He sees to it that:
– The family’s needs are met, food, clothing, shelter, education, health etc.”bread winner”
– The family’s future is secure in terms of finances and availability of other resources to met everyone’s expectations
-The children are well trained. He disciples them and shows them the right path.

The Lord’s prayer in the book of Matthew starts by saying:

Our Father, who art in heaven……
This confirms that God is our Father. The verse above from the Psalms also says God is our Father.

Meaning, apart from looking up to our biological or earthly father’s for all our needs, we should also learn to rely on God as a Father.

He has no limitations and has all power. Our biological father’s have limitations because they are human.

1 Corinthians 8:6
Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

This verse from the new testament confirms that God is a superior Father.
All things were made by Him and all things exist for Him.

If God is your Father, you have nothing to worry about or nothing to fear. He is all you need.
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Always remember that God is our Father, He cares about us ( 1 Peter 5:7) so let’s cast all our cares on Him.
