God is good!!
Psalm 23:6
Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever

“God is good” testifies of the Lord’s extreme kindness to us. It gives evidence of the fact that we have tasted of His great love and kindness.

The verse above states that the kindness and compassion of God never fails. It is available 24/7 all the days we have to spend here on earth

Scripture also says in Joshua 1: 5 that

……I will never leave you nor forsake you

Meaning, God is always with us

Romans 8:28

…all things work together for the good of them that love God who are called according to His purpose

This verse from the new testament reaffirms the Lord’s goodness. He ensures that the bad or negative events in our lives are offset by good or positive events. This is confirmed by stories in the Bible

Old testament

– Joseph, the foreigner, slave and prisoner becomes Prime Minister in Egypt

– The plots of Herman against Modecai the Jew backfire – Book of Esther

– The three Hebrews, Shadrach,Meshach and Abednego , do not burn in a fury furnace – Book of Daniel

New testament

1. The Apostle Peter, seen as a coward because he betrayed Jesus three times before a young maiden.

– Is the first to stand boldly before a crowd to preach the word on the day of Pentecost – Acts 2

2- The Apostle Paul who arrests and kills several christian is described. today as the greatest Apostle

– He wrote over half of the books in the new testament

– He healed the sick

– Bitten by a snake but did not die

– He took the gospel to the gentiles – Book of Acts

Accept the gift of Salvation today ( Romans 10:9-10) and enjoy the goodness of God always

God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?

1. Pray for grace and strength to obey God’s commands always.
