Give God your best
Genesis 4:4-5
….,And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: but unto Cain and to his offering, He had not respect..

In the verse above, God respected or accepted Abel’s offering because , he gave his best, the first fruits of his harvest. However, God rejected Cain’s offering because he did not give his best.

God offered his best to redeem us from the power of sin and from the grip of the evil one.

He expects us to give our best. The bible says love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy mind and with all thy soul.

If we want to please God then we must give our best, offer our bodies as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1)

Mark 10:30
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren and sisters…and in the world to come eternal life.

This verse from the new testament assures us that, when we give our best the Lord will reward us.

No one who has made sacrifices in order to promote the kingdom of God and increase its population would not be rewarded hundred fold in life and in the world to come.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Be willing to sacrifice to promote the kingdom of God
