Feed my sheep
Exodus 16:16
This is what the Lord has commanded, take as much as you need….

” Feed my sheep” is a statement that implies that we as christians should strengthen and nourish new members of the church, less active members and even active members with the word of God. This job is not reserved for Pastors and Ministers only. Every christian has a part to play.

In the passage above, we read that God fed the Israelites with Manna in the desert. This shows that food is very important to humans. We do not need only food to nourish our bodies but food to nourish our spirit and soul as well.

The bible says in 1 Peter 2:2 that
Like new born babes, thirst for the pure milk of the word…

We should earnestly long for food to nourish us spiritually as well as physically.

John 21:16-19

..,Do you love me? Feed my sheep

This passage from the new testament reveals Our Lord’s utmost desire to have His Sheep( believers or christians) properly fed and trained by the word of God.

Ministers and Pastors alone cannot do this job because people have diverse needs that a Sunday sermon or mid -week sermon cannot fully satisfy.

God is counting on you and me to fill in the gaps with the word our families, co- workers and friends need.

1. Study the word and pray for God to satisfy your soul so you can also help others.
