Exercise your faith
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be dismayed: for the Lord
thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
The dictionary defines faith as strong belief in the doctrines of a religion. Christian faith requires that we believe what God says in His word is true and act on it.
In the verse above, Joshua encourages us not to be afraid because God is always with us.
To exercise your faith for example involves believing God is with you, and walking through a dark passage or tunnel you have to go through even though you are afraid.
James 2:17-18
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yes a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
According to the verse above, faith without works is dead. It is only when you have overcome a challenge through faith that you can encourage someone else to do the same.
God be with you.
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Whenever you find yourself in trouble or in need of something from God, search the word for direction concerning your situation.
2. You can use a bible concordance or Google.com to help you locate the appropriate scripture.
Prayer
Almighty God, may your name be praised at all times. Help me to exercise my faith when I have to, to strengthen my relationship with you. Amen.
