Defe defe ( Defeated and destroyed)
Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
‘Defe defe” is a Ghanaian “twi” expression that means “Defeated and destroyed ” Many of us have testimonies of how God rescued us from destruction.
That sickness could have ended your life but the grace of God sustained you.
Or that great misfortune could have left you permanently destroyed but you are still here.
In the verse above, the Psalmist says He has tried and tested God and He has always been faithful. Therefore he is certain or has no doubts about God’s goodness and mercy being available all his life.
Scripture also says in Lamentations 3:22-23 that
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never will come to an end. They are new every morning great is thy faithful.
God’s faithfulness and steadfast love will not allow you to be defeated and destroyed. Keep trusting Him.
2 Corinthians 2:14
But thanks be to God
Who always causes us to triumph……
This verse from the new testament also confirms that with the Lord victory is certain.
God moves in a mysterious way as one the Methodist hymns says. You may go through twists and turns but if you keep trusting Him He will make a way
God be with you
