Count your blessings!!
Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the Lord, it make the rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.

The verse above says You can enjoy the blessings or the favor of God with no fear of having to repay Him for His goodness.

Naturally God is a giver
He gives and gives without asking for much in return. This is confirmed in Lamentations 3:22-23

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never will come to an end. They are new every morning great is thy faithfulness.

For people like Job it will be difficult to count your blessings or praise God for His goodness because He had been hit by so many misfortunes.

But even Job said

For I know that my Redeemer liveth and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.
( Job 19:25)

Meaning, my situation may seem hopeless now but I know my story will not end in disaster because even if I do not enjoy life now God will vindicate me on the last day.

Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

This verse from the new testament also confirms that God gives and supplies all our need.

All He is asking for in return is faithfulness and sincerity in our service of winning souls.

1. Trust in God and do what is right
