Count it all joy
Isaiah 43:2
When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned;neither shall the flame kindle upon thee

Nobody desires to go through hardships and difficult situations, normally referred to as trials and temptations.

The verse above refers to trials and temptations as passing through water and rivers or walking through fire. God assures us that He is with us throughout these challenges and will work out a way such that we are not overwhelmed or overcome with these hardships

Isaiah 41:10 says
Fear not, for I am with you
Be not dismayed, for I am your God
I will strengthen you
I will help you
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

During trials and temptations we should not fear or be dismayed but believe that God will strengthen , help and make us victorious.

James 1:2-3
My brethren, count it all joy when thou fall into diverse temptations; knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience

Another way of overcoming trials and temptations is to see them as stepping stones or tests to take us to the next level in our faith and therefore pray for God to help us whither the storms with joy, knowing that overcoming the challenges will make you a better person.

1.Pray that the joy of the Lord will be your strength in all the trials and temptations you encounter.
