Come unto me
Isaiah 55:1
Ho, everyone that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yeah, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

The verse above is an invitation from the Lord to all those in need of nourishment, water, wine and milk etc.

Philippians 4:19 says:
But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

This implies that, God not only supplies items for nourishment but every other need we have , physical, spiritual or emotional.

The Lord says, “Come unto me”, cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you.(1 Peter 5:7)

Matthew 11:28-29
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls

This passage from the new testament of the bible is also an invitation from the Lord to all those who are burdened by the cares and demands of our everyday life.

It is also an invitation to surrender your life to the Lord and accept the gift of salvation. The Lord’s demands or requirements are not difficult as compared to that of other deities who require diverse kinds of gifts and payments.

The Lord is still extending this invitation to all mankind. Will you respond today?

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Respond to the Lord’s invitation by:
-First accepting the gift of salvation
-Dedicating your life to serve Him (taking His yoke upon you)
-Turning to God for all your needs.

Prayer

Dear Lord, I surrender my life to you. I remember that you died for me. Use me as you will.
