Cast not away your confidence!!
Exodus 3: 14
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM : and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me to you.

“Cast not away your confidence” means you may be so tired and frustrated with waiting for the promise of God to come to pass and you feel like giving up your faith or trust in God.

God’s word to all those who find themselves in the situation described above is that “I AM that I AM” I have no beginning and no end, I have unlimited power to do all things. Keep trusting in me.

In Hebrews 11, some theologians refer to this chapter on faith as the “the hall of Fame” for people of great faith. It lists all those who believed and waited for the impossible.

Some did not even receive what they were expecting but they did not cast away their faith or give up their faith in God. Hebrews 11:13

Hebrews 10:35
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.

This verse from the new testament tells us why we do not have to throw away our confidence or faith. It has great recompense of reward.

Meaning, holding onto the promise of God even in challenging times eventually yields:
– Great rewards
– Great blessings, or
– Great victories

God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Hold on to your faith even in trying times

Prayer
Let this song be your confession and prayer

My confidence is the Lord
The source of my salvation
Rest is found in Him alone
The author of creation
I will not fear the evil day
Because I have a refuge
In every circumstance I say
My hope is fixed on Jesus

He is my fortress
I will never be shaken
He is my fortress
I will never be shaken
I will put my trust in God
Amen
