Born to be His dwelling place!!
Isaiah 43:1
But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, Oh Jacob,and He that formed thee, Oh Israel, …. I have called thee by name, thou art mine.

The word “dwelling” in the original Hebrew translation means, shelter, refuge, habitation. “I was born to be His dwelling place” therefore means I was created to be His habitation. So long as the Lord dwells in me, I am protected from harm or danger ( refuge)

In the verse above the Prophet Isaiah says the Lord calls us His own ( you are mine) , He calls us by name.

We are His own and therefore He dwells in us. The way we live should be pleasing in His sight.

Scripture also says in 1 Corinthians 6:20 that

You were bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body…(Paraphrased)

Meaning, the God paid a high price ( made a great sacrifice) to redeem us from sin and the evil one, therefore, we should live a life that is pleasing to Him. Obey His commands in the bible.

1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that that ye are temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

This verse from the new testament is reminding us that we are the Lord’s dwelling place, we should live in a way that pleases Him.

Pray and ask God to help you live in a way that pleases Him

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Obey the commands of the Lord stated in His word, the Bible.
