Beauty for ashes!!
Isaiah 61:3
…… to bestow on you beauty for ashes, the garment of praise instead of mourning and the oil of joy instead of despair ( paraphrased)
In biblical terms, the Prophet Isaiah was encouraging Christians to look ahead or look forward to better things. He was reminding us that the things of this world do last therefore, there is no need clinging to the things of the past.
This verse is also highlighting God’s ability to bring a dead situation back to life. That is His ability to restore.
I have a testimony of an illness I call the “nemesis” of my life. God was able to bring my dead situation back to life.
Scripture says in Psalm 46:1-3 that
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in our time of trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way, and the mountains fall into the sea and the waters roar and foam….. ( paraphrased)
Meaning, if God can give you beauty for ashes or bring dead situations back to life then we need not worry when the unexpected happens because we know God can give us beauty for whatever ashes we encounter in our lives.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
This verse from the new testament teaches us that one way we can wait for God to bring dead situations back to life is by believing and living with the mindset that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

1. Wait patently for the Lord to move on your behalf.
Prayer
Let this song be your confession and prayer
He is the Lord, is anything too hard for Him
He is the Lord He has said it
And surely He will do
Hold unto your faith
Your confession
All the days of your life
And you will see the hand of the Lord in your life
When you come against any trials
Which shatters all your dreams and smiles
And your footsteps are fully crashed
Do not fear for God is in control
He is the Lord is anything too hard for Him….
