Be ready to serve God at all times
Proverbs 6:9
How long will you lie there, O slacker? When will you get up from your sleep. To be ready to serve God at all times means, you are willing to adjust your schedule at all times in order to win souls and volunteer for church assignments.

Presenting the gospel to others is hard work, it requires that you sacrifice your sleep and leisure time. You need to pray and study the word of God before you undertake any christian assignment.

The bible says, study to approve yourself unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15)

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage- with great patience and careful instruction.

You should be ready to share a message even when you have not prepared in advance.

An easy way of getting a message is to study the verse and message you read for your quiet time.

A part from sharing the gospel, serving God also involves giving to charity, lending a helping hand to someone, praying for the sick and afflicted, comforting those who mourn etc.

Be ready to do do any of the things mentioned above at all times.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Be always ready to serve others with the aim of leading them to Christ.
