Be gone unbelief!!
Exodus 3:13-14
…. And God said to Moses that I AM that I AM: and said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you.

Unbelief is refusal to believe in God and His word. In the bible unbelief is counted as disobedience and it is therefore a sin.

In the verse above, God sent Moses to deliver the Israelites from bondage in Egypt but looking at his track record and history:

– Killing an Egyptian and running away.

– His inability to speak clearly. He was a stammerer

– He was a Hebrew boy raised in the palace as a prince but he dared to kill an Egyptian, when he was saved from being killed as a baby by an Egyptian princess

The Israelites would not believe that God sent him. He needed a sign to eliminate their unbelief. Read more about Moses from the book of Exodus in the old Testament.

Scripture says in John 20:28-29 that

…..blessed is he who has not seen and yet believes.

God rewards faith. This is confirmed in Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him (God) ; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.

Even if your situation looks hopeless pray for God to help you overcome your unbelief and trust Him to turn things around or make a way.

Mark 9:23-24
…..Lord I believe, help thou my unbelief

This verse from the new testament was a statement made by the Apostle Thomas. He did not believe Jesus had risen from the dead. But when he saw him, he repented from the sin of unbelief.

Let’s make Thomas’s statement our prayer each day.

Lord I believe, help thou my unbelief.

There is hope for the future no matter your situation now.
God be with you.

1. Keep believing in God and His word.

Be gone unbelief
My Saviour is near
And for my relieve
Will surely appear
By prayer let me wrestle
And He will perform
With Christ in the vessel
I smile at the storm

Since all that I meet
Shall work for my good
The bitter is sweet
The medicine food
Though painful at present
T’will cease before long
And then how glorious
The conqueror’s song
