Be fruitful
Isaiah 32:15-16
Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest….
According to the verse above it is important to be fruitful. This fact is re-emphasized in John 15:5-6
I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in Him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered: and men gather them and cast them into the fire, and are burned.
Lessons to be learned from the passage above include:
-You must bear fruit as explained in Galatians 5:22-23 because it proves that you are abiding in the Lord or trusting and obeying the Lord.
– If you do not bear fruit, you will be punished or cast forth as a branch, that is you will be cut-off from the vine or God
Can you imagine a life without Christ or God? Life will be difficult and frustrating.
Colossians 1:10
That ye may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God
The verse above also highlights the importance of being fruitful.
Seek to please God always, abound in good works and increase your knowledge of God. Then you can enjoy God’s blessings.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. In order to abide in the Lord or obey His commandments you have to study the bible.
2. The major commandments of the Lord are:
– Loving the Lord with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your soul.
– The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbour as yourself
– The third most important command is to reach out and save souls for the kingdom of God

Father in heaven, help me to bear fruit and glorify you in all I do. Amen
