Be bold and strong
Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

We live in a world where countless people consistently try to disprove the existence and power of God. Scientists, atheists, historians, spiritualists, mediums etc all try to explain how the world came into existence. Some ridicule Christians and it is sometimes difficult to share your christian faith and belief with people around you.

In the verse above, God encourages Joshua to be bold, strong and courageous. He should not be discouraged by those who still prefer Moses as their leader, those who had no faith in his leadership and the enemies they had to conquer before entering the promise land. In the same way God wants all Christians to be bold and strong and claim the promises of God to become the people God wants them to be.

Ephesians 6:10

Finally, brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

The verse above directs christians to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. How do we do that? By putting on the whole armour of God(Ephesians 6:11). Read the bible and pray everyday. Live by faith and be truthful at all times.
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Do not be intimidated by anyone who tries to ridicule you because of your faith.
2. Be bold and try to present the message of salvation to those who ridicule you.
3. Pray that God helps you to live a victorious christian life that will draw others to God.

Prayer
Almighty God, there is none like you in all the earth, in heaven or anywhere in the universe. Help me to be bold and strong enough to defend my faith at all times. Amen.
