Arise and shine
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
This verse is encouraging us to take a step of faith and let the whole world see the beauty of what the Lord has done in our lives. He has made us new, all bad old habits have passed away, we now live to please the Lord by staying away from sin.
Matthew 5:15-16 says
Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
We need to love our neighbours, give to the poor, help the afflicted, etc so that men will see our good works and glorify God. Remember to let your light shine in whatever corner or place you are.
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Take time to think and plan the good you can do for those around you.
2. Reading the Bible will help you plan. It would give you stories of hero’s in the word to guide you. For example, there is a story in the new testament of a woman called Tabitha who made clothes for the poor.

Almighty God, I bless and praise your holy name. Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in my life. Amen
