A charge to keep!!!
Joshua 1:8
This book of law shall not depart out of your mouth but you shall meditate on it day and night that you may be careful to do all it says. For then you shall prosper and have good success. ( Paraphrased)

” A charge to keep” means a solemn duty, command or divine trust, entrusted by God to a person, requiring faithful, vigilant stewardship to fulfill

This solemn duty is like what God directed Joshua to do in the passage above. Study the word and obey it for success in life

Scripture also says in Matthew 28:19-20 that
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations….for lo I am with you always, to the very end of the age ( paraphrased)

This is the “Great commission” charging all christians to share the salvation message with everyone

Matthew 5:16
Light your light so shine among men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven

Apart from studying God’s word and obeying it,and spreading the gospel, christians have to let their lights shine or live a a righteous life to glorify God as well.

Accept the gift of salvation today ( Romans 10:9-10) and fulfill your mission here on earth to glorify God

1. Pray for grace and strength to obey God’s commands always.
