ONLY BELIEVE

John 11:40-44
Jesus saith unto her, said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou should see the glory of God?
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eye, and said, father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
And I know that thou hearest me always but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me .
And when He thus had spoken, He cried with a loud voice , Lazarus come forth.
And he that was dead came forth.

The Oxford English MiniDictionary defines believe as to accept as true. In the passage above, Jesus had gone to see Mary and Martha who had lost their brother Lazarus.
They were very sad and they felt the situation was hopeless because Lazarus was already dead. If Jesus had come earlier, He could have healed him. In their opinion, death was final, there was nothing that could reverse it.
But Jesus comforted them, all was not lost, if only they would believe, accept that God could do all things including raising the dead, then God would glorify His name by raising Lazarus from the dead for all the people to see that, He was God almighty, the creator of the heaven and earth and all that is within it.
Jesus directs the people around to remove the stone from the tomb. He prayed and then He called forth Lazarus, with a loud voice and he came back to life. This is one of the great miracles performed by Jesus. There were others like cursing the tree that’s borne new fruits, it died instantly Mark 11:13- 14.
What’s lesson can we learn from the passage? We can learn that:

• With God all things are possible

Matthew 19:26, Job 42:2

• Believing in God initiates miracles

Jeremiah 32:17, Acts 3:16

• God can bring dead situations back to life

Ezekiel 37:10, Ephesians 3:20

With God all things are possible
Job 42:2
I know that thou canst do everything, and that no thought can be withholding from thee.

This verse clearly states that with God all things are possible. Nothing is impossible when God is in control. Once you believe in the power of God, He works wonders on your behalf. Only believe like John 11:40 says and He will glorify His name in your life.
The next time you are faced with an impossible situation call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved.
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them. With men this is impossible but with God all things are possible.
Then someone would say, why has God not raised the dead in Christ? Why do great men of God die? The bible says in Hebrew 9:27 that
And as it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this judgement.
According to God’s plan every man will die at one point in time as said in the verse above. It is part of life.

BELEIVING IN GOD INITIATES MIRACLES
Jeremiah 32:17
Ah Lord God! Behold thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and outstretch arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.
The verse above reminds us that God created the heaven and earth and all that is within it. There is nothing too hard or difficult for Him to do, if only we believe that God created everything it conforms the fact that nothing is too difficult for Him to do.
He made the birds that fly in the air and do not fall down.
The sea He created does not overflow it banks. The sun always shines during the day (in africa) and the moon and starts shines at night. It is therefore, not strange or impossible for him to do all things.
Acts 3:16
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man who you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through Him that has completely healed him as you.
The word “believing” can be used to replace “faith” in the verse above. It implies that the man was healed because believed in the name of Jesus. Only believe, and you will also receive answers to your prayer requests. Believing in God will initiate miracles in your life.

GOD CAN BRING DEAD SITUATION BACK TO LIFE

EZEKIEL 37:10
So I prophesied as he command me and the breath came into them and they lived, and stood up their feet, the whole of Ezekiel 37 talks about an encounter between God and the Prophet Ezekiel. God showed him dried bones and asked him to prophecy and bring them back to life. Verse 10 talks about how Ezekiel prophecies and brought them back to life.
There are major things we can learn from this story:

• It does not matter how hopeless the situation is.
Remember dead and dried up bones came back to life

• Believe without any doubt that God can. Bring dead situation back to life
• Prophesy and speak life into your dead situations to come back to life, God will make this possible.

Ephesians 3:30
Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly, above all we can ask or think according to the power that worketh in us.
According to the verse above God can do much more than we can imagine, ask or think. He can heal the sick, raise the dead, multiply out scarce resources to meet our needs, make barren wombs fertile, give strength to the weak etc.

Conclusion
Belief or faith activated miracles in our lives. God can do the impossible in your life, if only you believe.
