New Creations in Christ

Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.
There are three major phrases in the verse above that need explanation.
1. If any man be in Christ
a) He is a new creature
b) Old things have/are passed away
(c) Behold all things are become new
A) He is a new creature what does the Bible mean by a new creature?
– Being a new creature does not refer actually to he outerman, or our physical bodies.
– When you get born again or accept the gift of salvation you do not immediately become bigger, taller or slimmer
– The new creature is referring to the inner man or the your character and habits
B) Even your thought pattern changes.
Philippians 4:8 says
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
C) Your focus in life also changes more often than not your desire will be to please God by letting your light shine.
Matthew 5:16 says
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven
Ephesians 2:10 also says for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
D) You have compassion for lost souls fulfilling the “Great Commission” Stated in Matthew 28:19-20 is your major concern.
– Your spend time yourself going out to win souls.
– You are always giving cash and other resources to help people win souls in villages and places you cannot go.
E) You make the best use of time.
Ephesians 5:15 – 16
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise
Reading the time,b because the daysa re evil.
