Look Unto Me, and Be Saved
By Evangeline Unity Esaaba Folson
Look unto me, and be ye saved,
All he ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is none else
Another translation says all people everyone, follow me and be saved. I am God.
There is no other God.
Meaning, there is no other theory or doctrine, no other principality or power, no other God or gods that can do what I do. I am the Only God that can:
- Save the whole world
Isaiah 40:28-31
Acts 4:11-12
- Give rest to mankind
Matthew 11:28-30
Psalm 46:10
- Give peace in chaos
Isaiah 26:3
John 14:27
- Give eternal life
Ecclesiastes 3:14
Revelations 3:20-21
Save the world
Isaiah 40:28-31
Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not, neither is He weary, there is no searching of His understanding.
He giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles…..
Only God can sue the world because!
- He created the world
- He controls and manages the world.
This is confirmed in the passage above. He is never wary or faint. He works round the clock 24/7. He strengthens the weak and rents their strength so that they will not be destroyed.
Acts 4:11-12
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
This second passage clearly states that there is salvation in no other but Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can save.
He is the stone that the builders rejected that has become the head stone or corner stone (most important person)
Give Rest To Mankind
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
If you want peace in the midst of chaos or rest from your labors then you need to be “still”, that is stop retting and worrying and wait patiently for the move of God.
Matthew 11:28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart. And ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
The New Revised Standard Apocrypha translates Matthew 11;30 as
Serving me is easy, and my load is light. Some people thing serving the Lord is too difficult. So many “dos” and “don’ts”
- Do not drink
- Do not steal
- Do not serve any other gods etc.
These don’ts are all listed in the 10 commandments found in Deuteronomy 5:6-21
It may seem too long a list of don’ts but if you follow them religiously you will never get into trouble with the
- Laws of your head
- People you love
- The church you worship and serve in etc.
Give Peace In Chaos
Isaiah 26:3
Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusted in thee.
According to the verse above, if you will forget all about how challenging your circumstances are and focus solely on God by praying, studying His word and praising and worshipping, He will move on your behalf
You will find pace in the midst of chaos. You will be saved.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Lest not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.
This is concrete assurance from the Lord that we need not worry about anything but just trust Him.
Give Eternal Life
Ecclesiastes 3:14
I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever, nothing can be put to it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before Him.
Things done or put in place by God are forever. His word is eternal, the bible says heaven and earth shall pass away but my world will remain forever, (Matthew 24:35)
The bible also says that Christ came that we might have life and have it more abundantly (He gave us eternal life) (John 10:10)
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The promise of eternal life is also given in the verse above.
Revelation 3:20-21
Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even, as I also overcome…
The Lord indeed saves as all the bible verses quoted confirms.
Put all your trust in Him and He will not let you down.
