He giveth power to the “FAINT”

He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he Increased Strength.
Another translation says He gives power to the tired. and revives the exhausted or Simply
He strengthens those who are Weak and tired
Lets begin by defining the Key word in the text
“FAINT”
In the New Testament “faint” is used in the sense of physical exhaustion. It is also Used figuratively to refer to discouragement of Spirit

How does God revive or Strengthen the tired and exhausted? He
- Revives us whilst we ‘wait on him’
Psalm 27: 13-14

- Revives us by giving us Inner joy

- Revives us by giving us peace

Psalm 27:13-14
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he Shall Strengthen thine heart: wait, I say on the Lord.
To wait upon the Lord means planting the seed of faith and Nourishing it. It also means praying as the savior did to God our Heavenly Father Saying
- Thy Kingdom come
- Thy will be done
- It is a prayer we offer with our whole Souls in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord Shall renew their Strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be Weary; and they shall walk and not grow faint.
The verse above Says, When we wait on the Lord, our Strength is renewed, or restored. We are revived. How do we wait on God? By
– Acknowledging God’s Sovereign Control of all things
- Coming to terms with our dependence On God
- Seeking spiritual strength from the Lord
- Being patient and quiet
- Refrain & from needless worry
- Continuing to leam to Obey God’s Commands
- Expecting the Lord to Save.
2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be unto God, Which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh, Manifest the Savour of this Knowledge boy as in every Place.
When we wait on the Lord and He renews our Strength then we can use our resources and abilities carefully to triumph in all the projects and Ventures we undertake
He revives us by giving us Inner joy
Nehemiah 8:10
Then He said unto them, go your way, eat the fat and drink the Sweet for this day is holy unto the Lord? –for the joy of the Lord is your Strength.
Inner joy or having the joy of the Lord gives you a positive attitude towards life. You can attend to all your assignments with the attitude that God will cause you to excel.
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither Shall fruit be on the vines:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord I will joy in the God of my Salvation
Like the Prophet Habakkuk all things in your life may Seem gloomy, but the inner you you have from the Lord can cause you to rejoice even in chaos and defeat.
Philippians 4:4-5
Rejoice in the Lord alway; and again I say, Rejoice Let your moderation be Known to all men…This passage from the New Testament also encourages us to rejoice in the Lord at all times, in good times and bad times.
Revives us by giving us Peace
Isaiah 26:3
Thou will keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee. Without peace of mind you cannot do anything productive because your mind will be in chaores Your thoughts cannot focus on one thing because you are anxious.
The verse above Says those who focus on God even in chaos will find peace.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid
The verse brings to mind the picture of a tired and exhausted mother of 4 or 5 children who is fast asleep even though, the Children are shouting, fighting and destroying things all around her.
She has peace even in the chaos around her. That is what the peace of God can do.
Conclusion
With Christ in your Vessel or boat you can Smile at the storm all around you.
He will revive you eve when you are faint and Cause you to excel
