As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee
As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee
By Evangeline Unity Esaaba Folson
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee
The message bible translation says
Your entire life, no one will be able to hold out against you. In the same way I was with Moses, I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee
The message bible translation says
All your life, no one will be able to hold out against you. In the same way I was with Moses, I will be with you. I won’t leave you after God appointed Joshua to lead the people of Israel when 3 Moses died, He knew He had to assure Joshua of His constant presence with him. Moses was a great leader. God used him to perform many miracles.
Anyone taking Moses’ place will need to prove himself as appointed of God, with the ability to do more than Moses did or the stubborn Israelites would not follow his instructions.
The message is not only to Joshua but to all ambassadors of Christ, who stand in place or represent God here on earth.
We need special grace and strength to prove to the world that we serve the Most High God who is able to do all things. How does God prove to us and to the world that He sent us? God will
- Equip you
Exodus 3:13-14
Hebrews 13:21
- Strengthen you
Isaiah 41:10
Philippians 4:13
- Make a way for you
Isaiah 43:1-2
Isaiah 43:19
John 14:1-2
God Will Equip You
Exodus 3:13-14
And Moses said unto God, behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your father’s hath send me unto you! And they shall say to me, what is his name? What shall I say unto them?
And God said unto Moses,
I AM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel,
I AM hath sent me unto you when God sends or calls you, He will give you something to prove it.
He gave Moses, a rod he could turn into a snake. With Gideon, He used changes in the state of a “fleece” perhaps a door mat in our time. He wet the fleece of one point in time, leaving the ground around it dry. At another time, He wet the ground all around the fleece but the fleece was dry.
Your sign or how God will equip might not be as dramatic as that of Moses or Gideon but it will still be something that will convince you and the other people you minister to that God is using you. You could have the ability!
- To compose and write songs
- To have all your prophecies come to pass
- To heal the sick, when you pray for them in Jesus name etc.
Hebrews 13:20 -21
Now the God of peace…….make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
When God calls, He prunes all the dead leaves or weaknesses like the vinedresser does in John 15.
God is the vine and we are the branches, without Him we can do nothing.
Each day, prunes away some undesirable habits and short falls, perfecting us into vessels He can use to His glory as the verse in Hebrew 13 says.
God Will Strengthen You
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you and I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
In the verse above, God promises to strengthen us or give us the energy and abilities we need to fulfill our ministry as ambassadors of Christ. He also promises to help us or assist us and uphold or support us to achieve our goals in ministry and in our lives as individuals.
We need not fear opposition or the evil one’s tricks and traps.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
What the verse above is trying to say is that all we need in life to succeed is Christ. Why? Because He can able us to do anything we can think of. There is nothing too hard for Him to do (Jeremiah 32:27)
God Will Make A Way For You
Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert
The verse above can be summarized into one sentence. God can make the impossible, possible. He can make a way, where there is no way. When you are overwhelmed by your circumstances just call upon the Lord. He will make a way.
There are no roads in the wilderness, it is a thick forest area and no rivers in the desert. It is very difficult to find water in the desert.
Therefore if God says He will make a way in the wilderness and cause rivers to flow in the desert then with Him (God) nothing is impossible once it falls within His will for your life.
John 14:1-2
Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father’s house are many mansions” if it were not so, I would have told you. I go and prepare a place for you.
Jesus promised the verse above to go and prepare a place for us. It is just like saying He is going to make way in heaven for each of us.
Just as He is making a way for us in heaven, He will also make a way for us in our ministry. Just as He was with Moses, He is always with us, ready and willing to help us. All we have to do is to ask for His help through prayer. Meditation the words of the song below!
You are with me
Jehovah you are with me you are with me evermore you are the Lord and you say you will
So you are with me evermore.
