The Lord will set thee high!!
Deuteronomy 28:1
And it shall come to pass, if thou shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth
“The Lord will set thee high” means God will make you inaccessible and safe. It also means that God will exalt you.
According to the verse above, the Lord will exalt you and make you inaccessible and safe if you obey His commandments.
Joshua 1:8 also says that if you study the word of God thoroughly and obey or apply it to your life, God will cause you to prosper and give you good success.
Good success could be translated as you will do well in what ever you do.
As a student, worker and ambassador of Christ, each of us will want good success in our studies, career and ministry. The two verses quoted above says if we want to do well in whatever we do we have to we have to obey God’s commands
This requires that we seek to live a life that pleases God and apply the word of God to our studies, career and ministry:
– You need wisdom to be able to learn what you are taught and use it appropriately to answer examination questions. How do you get wisdom? Ask for it through prayer ( James 1:5)
– Assignments you present at work should be excellent and above standards. How do you do this? Matthew 7:7 says ask and you will receive, seek and you will find….. Therefore before you start any assignment ask God for wisdom and direction, then seek or search for the information you need to complete the assignment.
– You also need to fulfill your ministry. How do you do this? Ask God for grace and strength and because you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you ( Philippians 4:13)
God be with you.
Suggestions for success
1. Ask God to help you obey His commands by living to please Him and helping you to excel in whatever you do
Song for meditation
Let this song be your confession and prayer
Set me on fire once more
I want to live to please you in every way
Set me on fire once more
That I may be exalted in all I do.
Amen
