The Lord is my light and my salvation
Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

In my own words, the “Lord is my light and my salvation”, means the Lord is my all in all. He is my deliverer, my guide, my protector and my savior. There is no need to fear, because He can handle anything that comes my way.

This is confirmed by events in the bible:
– In the book of Exodus, He parted the Red sea for the Israelites to walk through on dry land
-In the book of Daniel, he saved Daniel in the lion’s den and delivered the three Hebrew boys from a burning furnace.
– In the book of Matthew Jesus calms a storm at sea and walks on water
-Paul and Silas have their chains broken while singing praises at midnight in the book of Acts.

There are several other events in the Bible that prove that God is our all in all. How should this affect our lives as students, workers and ambassadors of Christ.

As a student you should not feel afraid or nervous when exams are drawing near. The Lord is your light and your salvation. Pray for wisdom and learn as much as you can. Write the exam and God will do the rest

For those who work, there is no need to fear when the deadline for submission of an assignment draws near and you have not finished. Pray for wisdom and direction and do all you can to complete it before the deadline.

As an ambassador of Christ you need not fear when you have to start a conversation with a stranger you want to witness to. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide the conversation and step out in faith.
God be with you

Suggestions for success
1. Reflect on events in the past week. Pinpoint areas you need to improve and pray for the Lord’s direction and help in the coming week so you can excel in all you do.

Prayer
Let this song be your prayer

…….He carries me over mountains high
He comforts me in the valley
When I am going through a storm
He protects me in His arms
That is the reason why I say

The Lord is my light and my salvation
Whom shall I fear?
He’s the strength of my life day and night
No need to be afraid
Amen
